If you’d like to join in this exploration, send Sarah Pogoda an email and let her know if you’d like to join ‘in the room’ in Bangor or on Zoom

Tea with a Tree publishing have invited Utopias Bach to produce a book of ‘Invitations and Scores’! We use scores and invitations as a way of structuring Utopias Bach explorations and activities. The book will be a way to bring these together and celebrate one of the things that Utopias Bach has been pioneering over the years. You can see some of our scores here
If you have any invitations or scores to add to the collection please email us
PIPE - Puzzling in Practice Expanded
Lisa Hudson
This Utopias Bach experiment is exploring whether we can articulate more clearly (or not) what UB is; help us (and others) take ourselves more seriously; help us go one step further.
Our conversations = the practice…
We are using different ’stimuli’ for conversation (maybe ’theory’, maybe a quote, an image, video, text, novel etc, and may include what we’ve already written/documented)
These ‘stimuli’ might be on socially engaged practice, love, care, pedagogy, co-learning, more-than-human alliances, conversation…etc
Our conversations may focus on different aspects of Utopias Bach/a particular experiment/an experience, to give practice to theory (puzzling)/ (puzzling) theorising a practice
Please reach out to Sarah Pogoda if you are interested in taking part (email Sarah by clicking here)
The work of this group might also inform what goes in our ’utopias Bach scores book’, and we are excited to take part in a three way discussion ‘Be da ni’n neud?! / Klar wie Kloßbrühe / Clear as mud’ event with Dyffryn Dyfodol and Syndikat Gefährliche Liebschaften from Germany.
Mae Iaith y Pridd yn dod â phobl ynghyd o ddwy gymuned, sef Cymdeithas Utopias Bach a’r gymuned Fferm Henbant – staff, trainees, ymwelwyr, gwirfoddolwyr, cymdogion, cwsmeriaid – dros flwyddn (Ebrill 2026 - Mawrth 2027) yn Fferm Henbant, Clynnog Fawr.
Gyda chefnogaeth Carreg Creative a 5 Ymarferydd Creadigol*, dan ni am archwilio:
“Sut mae ein perthynas â Chymreig/Cymraeg yn newid dros gylch blynyddol yn Fferm Henbant, trwy sylwi, tyfu, dysgu a chreu gyda'n gilydd yn greadigol? Allai'r approach hwn helpu i embed Cymraeg (a Chymreig) yng nghanol cymuned Henbant, a chefnogi a sense o’n cynefin ac integreiddio â'r ardal?”
//
Iaith y Pridd is bringing together approximately people from two communities, Utopias Bach collective and the cymuned Fferm Henbant - staff, trainees, visitors, volunteers, neighbours, customers - over a year (April 2026 - March 2027) at Fferm Henbant, Clynnog Fawr.
With the support of Carreg Creative and 5 Creative Practitioners*, we want to explore:
“How does our relationship with Cymreig/Cymraeg change over an annual cycle at Fferm Henbant, by creatively noticing, growing, learning and creating together? Might this approach help to embed Cymraeg (Cymreig) at the centre of the Henbant community, and support a sense of ein cynefin and integration with the surrounding area?”
