During this third fortnight of the Experimental Treesense School, we will be asking the question “Sut allwn ni fod yn myselium?” “How can we become mycelium”, exploring the forms and functions of mycelium through movement and sound. And consider the intra & inter connectedness of mycelium, communication, exchange and sharing, nourishment

We invite you to:

1. Join the Experimental School

We invite you to join the Experimental School for FREE by registering here. We will then send you a welcome pack to the school, and details and resources for taking part in this Cylch. If you have already joined, these will be sent to you automatically.

2. Join us at events @ Pontio, Bangor

During the two weeks of Cylch 3: MUDIAD MYCELIUM MOVEMENT, you are invited to:

  • Saturday 1st April (11am - 1pm): an indoor movement workshop at Pontio, working with spore germination and growth with recorded and improvised sound. PL2 on the second floor - access by stairs or lift. Age: 18+

  • Saturday 8th April (11am-1pm): an outdoor movement workshop at Pontio, spreading and connecting with trees, with recorded and improvised sound. PL2 on the second floor - access by stairs or lift.Age: 18+

  • Saturday 8th April (12.30 and 15.30) mask and headdress making with Rhona Bowey for children 3+, following the Woodland Tales with Grandad show. NOTE: this is only open to those attending the Woodland Tales with Grandad show at Pontio before hand at 11.30 or 14.30. Book tickets for this show direct with Pontio)

3. Start at home

If you have registered with the Experimental School, we will send you some ideas, links and invitations to begin your exploration with mycelium at home. This will include:

  • sources of inspiration - about mycelium, their sounds and habits and physical movement/embodiment practices
